What is UVC ?

 

UV-C is germicidal, meaning it can effectively be used as a disinfectant to kill microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. When the DNA of microorganisms absorbs UV light, it prevents them from reproducing and duplicating, thereby inhibiting their growth.

 

  

How does UVC LED disinfection work?

 

LEDs emit UV-C photons that penetrate microbial cells and damage the nucleic acid in their DNA. As these cells cannot replicate, the harmful microorganisms are rendered inactive. UV-C LEDs deliver high-intensity radiation that can inactivate bacteria within seconds, and their effectiveness is measured in logarithmic reduction values (LOGs).
